N.C. Plant Sciences Initiative celebrated the opening of a startup company incubator in NC State University’s Plant Sciences Building and the launch of its Seed2Grow entrepreneurship program. Seed2Grow helps entrepreneurs bring NC State plant sciences discoveries into the marketplace to advance agriculture in North Carolina and beyond. The incubator provides lab and office space for emerging companies like Hoofprint Biome and Raleigh Biosciences, creating innovative solutions for reducing cattle methane emissions and enhancing crop gene expression.🌱🚀

The Miller Fellow applications are now open! 

The Miller Fellowship runs from June through November and provides a monthly stipend of $1000 so fellows can continue to develop their ideas. Three factors regarding eligibility are listed below:

-NC State undergraduate students who will have completed their bachelor’s degree in May 2023 – May 2024 and are not enrolled or planning to enroll in a graduate program the following semester.
-Applicants must show they have made substantial progress towards the development of a venture before they graduated and that additional support would significantly increase the company’s probability of success.
-Applicants must agree to reside in the Raleigh-Durham area for the duration of the Miller Fellowship.

Applications close on April 29 at midnight.
