Trips and Tours

Learning is more than just the experience in the classroom. We take students directly to those who have lived entrepreneurship or been a part of a start. These are life-altering opportunities that change students’ outlooks on their careers. Join us and get a better understanding of what you can do to be a part of something entrepreneurial.

Local Tours

Students of the Entrepreneurship Initiative during a local tour.Join us for a day of learning from local entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial companies. Each year, we visit local high-growth companies of all sizes to learn about their start up. The Fall Local Tours will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012.

This year’s tours will include the following companies: HUB Raleigh, Brooks Bell, Empire 1792, The Raleigh Foundry, Celito, and Agile Science.

Congratulations to the students who were selected to attend!

Silicon Valley

For many years, entrepreneurship students have traveled with the Entrepreneurship Initiative to Silicon Valley over Spring Break to visit entrepreneurial legends such as Google, Apple, and Facebook.  This trip is made possible largely in part to the generosity of EI alumni and friends. During the trip, students meet with entrepreneurs and executives from small start-ups to large multi-national companies. Proudly, many of these entrepreneurs are NC State alumni.

The 2013 Silicon Valley Trip will be held during Spring Break from Satuday, March 2 through Wednesday, March 6.  The EI invites all NC State entrepreneurship students to apply to participate* and travel to Silicon Valley at a minimal cost.  Here is the list of companies that students will visit on this year’s trip: Launchpad Toys, Prezi, Flextronics, Apple, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, LiveRamp, IDEO, VantagePoint Capital Partners, Echelon, and NEST.
