Entrepalooza, an Event for Thinkers and Doers
Join us at Entrepalooza – NC State’s fall festival celebrating entrepreneurs and innovators. The event brings together NC State students, alumni and the off-campus community and includes interactive displays, a mobile makerspace, delicious North Carolina treats, fun games and a 60-second pitch competition. We hope to see you there!
In addition to the pitch competition, there will be a showcase of NC State entrepreneurs. Here’s some of the ventures you can see at the event!
NC State is home to many entrepreneurship resources! Visit the NC State Entrepreneurship tent and learn more about the programs, events and support we provide for entrepreneurs.
Kast Clothing, founded by four NC State grads, is an innovative fashion company. Kast Clothing utilizes 3D body scanners to provide custom pants that offer a perfect fit for every shape and size.
Headbands of Hope, founded by NC State grad Jess Ekstrom, is a fashion venture with a progressive social impact model. For every headband sold, HOH donates a headband to a child with cancer.
Rhythcor, founded by four NC State students, has developed PulseAware – designed in order to address the leading cause of death among firefighters: heart attacks. By integrating electrodes into a tight fitting shirt, and designing a wearable monitor, PulseAware will be able to dramatically reduce the number of fatalities among firefighters due to heart attacks.
Skillpop, founded by NC State grad Haley Bohon, makes learning easy and accessible through pop-up classes on a variety of topics in locations throughout the city. They will be teaching a free hand lettering mini-class at Entrepalooza.
Retrieving Hearts, founded by NC State grad Catherine Guy, is a volunteer-run nonprofit that partners rescue dogs with hospitals, nursing homes, and schools to provide animal-assisted therapy services. They’ll be bringing their furry friends out to Entrepalooza and telling you more about how they contribute to the quality of life in our community.
