Startup Essentials Episode I

September 1 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Startup Essentials are the Garage’s very own version of TED Talks. We’ll bring in speakers from around the community to lend their expertise to the cause, but of course the Garage doesn’t stop there! Our Startup Essentials guests will typically join our team for staff office hours which means they’ll be on hand to answer any questions you might have. This is an incredible opportunity to take advantage of and we hope to see you join us for the entire VI episode series!

Our first speaker for this season’s Startup Essentials will be Marshall Brain. Marshall will be speaking on ideation and ways to get out of the gate as well as his own experiences with entrepreneurship. Marshall is most widely known as the founder of the website Howstuffworks, has also hosted Factory Floor on NatGeo, and appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show. He has written many pieces including his essay series Robotic Nation, How to Make a Million Dollars, and one of his most popular books Manna.

As with all of our Startup Essentials series, Marshall will be joining us for our Staff Office Hours in the weeks following this event.

This event is for eGarage members only, and a ticket will be required for access. Lunch will be provided at the event.
